I am not exaggerating even a little bit when I say this is the best book I have ever read. You will not regret picking this one up, until you finish it and realize you have to wait for book 2. Piper is an INCREDIBLE world builder, and puts SO MUCH time and love into her characters. The level of detail in her books always blows me away and her folklore expertise is really on display in this book. This book is going to break your heart, and question your beliefs perhaps… but it’s also going to make you believe in true love and magic and fae and fate and all the things fantasy lovers want to believe in. Also, if you haven’t read her other series (The Night and its Moon) - what the heck are you waiting for?!?
