Casting is off. Riordan describes the key protagonist Annabeth Chase as a blonde white girl, so that’s what I always saw in my mind when I imagined this character. Why did they pick up an african american girl? What’s next? A black Percy Jackson? An asian or indian Annabeth? This is ridiculous! Why can’t they follow the book? Let’s cast asian and black people to play the roman and greek gods because they lack diversity. Who cares about how the author described the physicsl traits of the main characters?
