I wanted this to be so much more, and it could have been but it kept missing the mark. The acting is superb but the characters are flat and undeveloped. Love is at the forefront, but unrequited love for every single character is a bit much. The villain is anyone with money or power and they always get their way. Ross Poldark is charismatic and good but never gets out of his own way, it's very predictable in a bad way.
