John Cena is a stronger host than Nicole Breyer, but the bigger problem is that they don’t really work well together (think David Dobrik and Andrew Hawkins from Dodgeball Thunderdome). Camille Kostek performs her role well, but Jill Wagner from the original Wipeout was just a better on-field host. I was hoping to laugh and just enjoy some mindless TV, but I was bored, if not a little annoyed. I may have enjoyed it more by just turning down the sound and watching the action. I may give it one more try, but I don’t have high hopes. In my opinion the hosts can make or break a show, and I believe the formula is broken at this point.
