It’s a bad movie for sure.
This film relies HEAVILY on the nostalgia from the first and shoehorns every character from the first into the movie, including the “help me” old lady. The plot makes zero sense, the characters are all unlikable aside from the ballerina daughter, and there’s no payoff.
The very worst part of the movie is how his wife dies. First, she had 3-5 business days to f’n move, an Austin Powers level of ridiculous. Second, she was doing an interview at the end of a hole, in clear line of fire to the tee shot. Third, there is zero chance that a golf ball on its way down from the tee shot has enough velocity to kill. Would it hurt? Sure, but at most it’s a nasty bump.
Basically this feels like most nostalgia movies, made for stoners and coma patients. Oh and it’s 2 hours of my life that I’ll never get back. Just watch the first one again and you’ll have a better time.
