FOLLOW THE REVIEW SCORES. The game itself has decent moments but the storytelling is very hard to like. They obviously made bold and daring moves to make something different but it just didn't work. This is more than just an opinion, it's logic. There are several glaring plot holes that even the director had to address on the fly. The reason I personally give this one (actually zero) stars is the way Druckmann and Naughty Dog have handled the reception of this game. They have lied in marketing, lied about the source of the leaks to silence suspicion, attacked youtube accounts, hid the like/dislike ratio and disabled comments, gave the game thousands of 5 star reviews before it was even released for critics, and whatever else all just to save face. And they haven't stopped. Now there are so many articles talking about how the internet hate is "expected" and should be "ignored." They're trying to cover for the major video game platforms like IGN, Games Radar, Game Informer and Gamespot who gave the game early high ratings because they have exposed themselves as shills (people/organizations who kiss up to studios for exclusive access and benefits). The articles find new reasons to discredit the negative reviews every time they come out: the reviewers are phobes, the reviewers are sexist, the reviewers haven't actually played the game, the reviewers couldn't appreciate the deeper meanings of the story, etc. You'll notice that the user review ratings are slowly climbing everywhere because new shill accounts have been flooding them to boost the ratings. The weekend after the release, the Metacritic user average score was 2.5 but as of June 30, the average review is 4.9. Even here on Google, the reviews have gone up in 11 days from an average score of 2.1 to 2.6. So everyone who just now purchased the game have only left positive reviews? How convenient for them. They should just take their "unaffected" sales and stay silent because now it just proves that they can't accept that, despite their good intentions, they simply wrote a bad, unlikable, stillborn, generic story. Cancel Druckmann and put him with D&D for Google's "bad writers" results
