Xophe A'dethri

I love Will Forte and Kristen Schaal, and their wacky comedic characters made me laugh through all 4 seasons. Main character Phil Tandy Miller(Forte) survives an apocalyptic viral outbreak and searches for life leaving "Alive in Tucson" painted on signs and billboards. The show starts with him arriving back in Tucson to wait. His signs attract the small handful of characters that slowly show up in the first season. This show was cancelled 2 years before the COVID-19 pandemic we had in real life. So it was kind of a little extra funny in a dark way. They end it in a massive cliffhanger that was never resolved due to the show being cancelled, but if you ignore the last 5 min of the final episode it all wraps up nicely as a satisfying series finale.

I love a movie like this, but can barely mention anything I like about it without spoiling it. Basically, watch it twice to get a bigger effect.

This was increasingly interesting from a fairly blandish start, then suddenly it stops, as if this was a pilot for a TV show or something. It has the start of something, but NEVER delivers on the world building it began with. A quarter of an idea with zero pay off.
