This is quite possibly the worst Pokémon game I have ever played. I'm about 60 maybe 70% done with the game and I can say this game is bad. I will say the only thing I have enjoyed so far is seeing Lysandre as an old person for the first time since x and y but even that's down graded cause they changed my goats name to just L. This is a very painful review for me cause Pokémon X and Y were my favorite games and I had high hopes for legends Z - A. I will be listing my reasons below. 1. The city: you mean to tell me you made a remake of my favorite region and quite literally stripped the entire region and left a city with wild zones in it to catch Pokémon? are you serious right now? they claim in the game that it is for Pokémon and trainers to be brought closer together but I kid you not some of the NPCs in the game even say they don't think having Pokémon live amongst trainers probably isn't a good idea. bro the developers themselves knew this was bad! 2. Wild Zones: I think this is kind of self explanatory. With wild zones the Pokémon company has completely eviscerated the entire region and throws you in a city with these wild zones that replace what once was routes and caves and forests. now its all in one city in small sections and not many Pokémon spawn. 3. Battle mechanics/Controls I will say this I like the battle mechanics I think its a fresh start. however I would much rather move the Pokémon itself but I digress. this may just be me but I have issues with balancing battling and switching. to switch you have to use the arrow buttons on your switch to select the Pokémon you want which its right below the moving d pad. so I got to stop in place to move and switch my Pokémon. leaving my Pokémon vulnerable to attacks. I would much rather use the front bumpers cause you don't really use those buttons at all in battle and then I guess you can quickly flick the up arrow to send it out. 4. Mega Starmie this is just a design choice and I hate it. Why does this look so bad. Longer front legs, really?! come on bro... its not even a even star no more. I would have just put a 3rd starfish row behind the 2 and turned its color white. I think that would look cool. 5. no voice acting this has been a problem since the very beginning of Pokémon games but I am pointing it out here because of 1 reason. I don't know if any of you have noticed but when you dodge with your character sometimes it will make a grunting sound and it kinds sounds like Legends of Zelda btow and totk when link is running or climbing. you mean to tell my you got sound effects for dodging for the 1 person in every Pokémon game that doesn't talk but you don't have voice acting for the people that do?! bro I'm getting mad. 6. the story what even is the story?! It low key feels like I'm doing a bunch of side quests and a ton I mean A TINKATON of tutorials explaining how to play the game. they got a tutorial on how to roll... I'm dead. they could have just told me that in a menu screen or something. also the "evil team"? there really isn't one well I suppose its the rust syndicate but as far as I know they are like 1 misson and thats it there not really apart of the story if you call this a story.
