I’m a Metroid fan, but not a rabid Metroid fan. I’ve played most of the 2d games multiple times and Prime 1 and 2. This game without a doubt is game of the year for me. I didn’t want it to end. It was amazing in every way, the puzzles, bosses, map, exploration, secrets, combat, the visuals, everything is just perfect. The boss fights are based on skill, figuring out how to evade attacks and when to get shots in. It is definitely the best game I’ve played since Breath of the Wild. The only downside I can think of is the replay ability for it. I 100% all items my first play through. But other than that there isn’t a single negative about this game, and it is an amazing game. I’m honestly sad that I’ve beaten it and am hungry for more. I hope Nintendo keeps up with the 2d Metroid line because this game shows they still got it and still understand what makes a good Metroid game good. I literally can’t wait another 19 years for another game in the series.
