This book deserves a Pulitzer or a comparable prize for the seriousness of its subject matter and the overwhelming amount of data, history, information and scientific analysis it contains. It is a book that should serve as the foundation for public policy development on the extreme dangers of global warming. Yet because we live in a world dependent upon petroleum I fear that the warnings contained in this story will be ignored.
