"Macbeth" is a truly stunning Jacobean tragedy written by William Shakespeare. I have had the privilage of studying it for GCSE English Literature and has opened my eyes to new plays by the great Shakespeare. I would really recommend this play for anyone interested in Shakespeare's work. It is full of dramatic irony, gripping dialogues, and tells a tale of betrayal. It is also increadably interesting that Shakespeare wrote the play based on King James 1 and the gunpowder plot. The addition of the witches at the start of the play is also fascinating as this was something that King James believed in. Overall a great read and watch if you are interested in classic literature.
