At the start of this book I got quite into it, however as the chapters went on I felt it was very difficult to continue.
The characters are very negative, unlikeable and victimise themselves, despite having relatively good lives and a lot to be thankful for. The two main characters come across as very dull narcissists who lack emotional intelligence.
The plot of the story itself is quite disappointing and just seems very pointless.
A large part of this book feels like the author was trying her hardest to portray her own intelligence and social knowledge of the world, however it came across as just a lot of intellectual dribble, like big words put together to try and sound academic.
I absolutely love a detailed book however certain parts of this book just feels like details were added just to reach some sort of word count and played no significance to the plot of the book or made it any better.
I hate to leave such a negative review however I found this book very disappointing and very difficult to read.
