oh you wanted to see James Camerons titanic? screw that! we got this one! beautiful. party time Totally made me forget about the over 1,000 people who died on the titanic! what a wasted potential for an Oscar!

I was just four years old when this movie came out, so I have a lot of nostalgia for this film, so I may be a bit bias. Now that i'm 20, I went back to see if it was as good as I remember if we are judging this movie solely on the SpongeBob series, its pretty good. I seen people complain about the Animation, but to me especially since it came out in 2004, its great. it is still SpongeBob but has more cinema quality. The lesson isn't your basic ' friendship wins all' or 'good guys always come on top' it is a lesson that its ok to have your inner kid come out and to just have fun. Life is to short to live a boring life or to worry about how you come off to others All the characters are in character and even some are better in this film than in the series, I like this Neptune in the movie a bit more than the one in the series. He is a rough father to mindy, but lightens up at the end. the one thing i don't really like is how they changed plankton. in the series, he comes off as a kinda cheesy villain with a bunch of funny moments, but in this, he seems too dark and edgy. He never really expressed a strong interest in world domination,at least as i could remember. It kinda makes him into a stereotypical villain as a movie alone, it is great. Even the first few scenes of the movie are so much fun. I can tell the pirates are having the time of their life's here, and really, I think the most important aspect of a movie is for the actors to look like they at least enjoy doing what they do. Otherwise, they are boring to watch, which is the exact opposite of what you want from a movie. I don't typically enjoy road trip movies or buddy movies, but this one put so much charm in the scenes, locations, interactions, and especially the humor. their are quotes from this movie that I still use to this day. I do have one compline and its mindy. I don't feel like she's a bad character, but i feel like she was underused and had a lot of missed opportunity. It would be great to see her in the series. If you are looking for a good time with basically an extended SpongeBob episode, you will get it. I suggest watching the show first though because you won't get the full experience if you don't know any of these characters.
