The only people giving this a one-star review are the kind of far-right losers that this film is so effective at showing up for the racist and incompetent idiots that they are.

Although the basic synopsis of the plot to this fantasy adventure film isn't particularly original, think How to Train Your Dragon for instance, it is what this does with that synopsis that helps this mostly set itself apart while it is far better than the live-action version of that aforementioned film. The cast is also great, the locales are both well-used and beautiful, the cinematography is on point, the score is good, the pacing is well-done, baby Ochi is both cute as hell and well-produced, it is engrossing throughout, there are some laughs and it has some delightful oddball moments. Just wish it hit me a bit more emotionally and that some of the dialogue audio wasn't quite so muffled at times.

This is the second year in a row I have seen a DCEU film and absolutely adored it, what the hell is going on? No, but seriously this is a great effort in its own right and not just in comparison to a lot of the awful efforts that have made up the DCEU so far. The cast is mostly superb with Margot Robbie once again being the highlight, it is well-paced, I was consistently laughing throughout, the violence is done in a fun and entertaining way, the plot is predominantly engrossing, the score/soundtrack is solid, the production is top-notch, it is visually colourful which is definitely the way these characters and this world should be presented instead of the drab Snyder approach, the script is neatly balanced, the action scenes are well-executed and it is nice to see a superhero film with a self-contained story rather than bothering with setting up future efforts.
