Ugh. Was excited to see this adaptation of a favourite book- left gaping in horror and fuming. The characters don’t solve things so much as stumble over clues. Not enough detection- too many coincidences (the crutch of lazy writing). Ending rushed and confusing. Lacking the sparkling humour and energy from the book. Also, changing the ending so dramatically for a beloved character? Boo!
