Mark Garner

This is actually my favorite ACG album. Studio album, I mean. (Live at the Whisky, 1969, is my all-time fave.) It has some spacey qualities, ala Barrett-Era Floyd, and it has a dark, scary quality like the early Doors. The arrangements are totally off the wall. I especially like the twin guitar work of Buxton and Bruce. The rhythm section of Dunaway and Smith is good, too.

I'm a huge Badfinger fan, especially of their music with Ron Griffiths on bass and vocals*. This is no swipe at Joey Molland but I just prefer their harmonies with Ron in the group. (*Their debut LP as The Iveys and this, their first as 'Badfinger.') RIP Peter, Tommy and Mike.
