Bad script and wrong person to play Selena. Although beautiful, Cristian serratos doesnt have the acting chops to play a biopic of Selena. From The dancing, her mannerisms to the way Selena spoke was not there. The whole time I felt I was watching a series of Selena’s family and an imposter posing as Selena. I did not like the fact that Selena was not front and centre of the series. Serratos played her character nieve and juvenile when in fact Selena came across as a confident women beyond her years. Jennifer Lopez did not look like Selena but she exuded her energy on screen, her laugh, her dancing, that’s what made it believable and THATS what was missing from serratos. netflix tends to reuse their actors in most of their movies/shows which is why I believe they chose serratos . All I’ll have to say is big mistake. Won’t be watcing part 2.
