The first few episodes start slow with very 2D characters and obvious jokes, but the show really comes to life around episode 3 and gets kicked into full gear in episode 4 when we start to see the characters flaws and vulnerabilities that makes you want to root for them. The animation style is fairly simplistic but allows the creators to pull the most out of every scene by packing it with movement and vibrant backdrops. Voice acting is phenomenal but possibly the best part is each episode features a couple original musical numbers that are all absolute smashes and are what really pull this show from a 3 or 4 rating to a solid 5.

If you're looking for something to fill that void since beating Stardew Valley, this is the closest and best thing I've played since. Different enough to feel unique, but the same enough in the ways that need to be.

It had some weak moments in the beginning with some outlandish moments, but ultimately settled in as a very beautiful story between two realistic and flawed characters finding strength in each other. The ending was not what I was expecting but ended up being the perfect capstone and ultimately why I rated it 5 instead of 4.
