The start of the movie is a bit shaky (Garratys mom was a bit melodramatic), the dialog was a bit stilted at times, and some of the special effects were distracting, but its a very well executed adaptation. I was afraid it'd be uninteresting to see given the nature of the book, watching people walk and talk, but the editing choices came through to keep it engaging and well paced. solid 8/10.
