What a waste of time and money! I love Tom Hanks and don't think I have ever been disappointed by a movie he played in, until now. I thought this was going to be a love story. Wow, was I wrong! The trailer gave away the ending with his wife suffering from alzheimer's. That was the best scene of the whole movie. Can you say depressing?! The very short snippets aren't enough to be the least bit entertaining. The timeframe is all over the place and not just because it's switching between eras either. Time is every which way but chronological even for each individual family that inhabits the space. Having two generations of the same family inhabiting the house did not help matters. It's a complete train wreck! To top that off, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright often looked made up much older than the age they were portraying. I guess I didn't pay much attention to the premise. I saw Tom Hanks and thought, I have to see that. I should have walked out after 20 minutes and realizing that the entire movie was just going to be more of the same. This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my entire life, and I'm not young. No redeeming quality whatsoever! I recommend you don't go see this movie. But if you do, the cars outside are the best indicator of what time period the scene is supposed to be.
