Superman is weak, whiny, powerless and never gets the upper hand. He spends the bulk of the movie either defeated, trapped, sulking or trying to recover from yet another beat down. If it hadn't been for the black hole, he would've been beaten AGAIN by Ultraman. There's no rhyme or reason to the justice gang, they're just there. The plot is rushed, almost non existent and the characters had no chemistry to pull the audience in. It seemed like Corenswet had never even heard of Superman before accepting the role. Lex creates a pocket universe and has monkeys trained to trash post about Superman non stop on social media. Lois willy nilly starts flying Mr. Terrific's ship. Jon and Martha were dumb slow talking Kansas hillbillies. Metamorpho looks like something off an episode of Face/Off. The superbots are cheap and cartoonish. Krypto was an abused concept for comedic appeal when everything was already falling flat and the CGI overall was hilariously bad. It was like DC Guardians of the Galaxy and it didn't work. Gunn continues to ruin the DC brand.
