Yes, the comedic moments are overlong, it reminds me of a pantomime show with a Big Name in it getting extra stage time, but Will Ferrell worked for years to get this made, and the musical sections and general atmosphere surrounding the ESC are inspired, with genuine goose-bump moments for fans such as myself.
