Apologies for the length of this. 2K21 is, without doubt just a money grabbing con. This is 2K20, just much much worse. I have played it everyday since release, mostly MyPlayer but also MyTeam but now I'm done. As most people have said the new shooting system is a joke. I've been grinding to get the badges needed and to get my overall level up. Even now I have the release down, it's almost impossible to get consistent greens. They story on MyPlayer is something a 5 year old could have put together. It's not only massively predictable in what happens. Once you make it to the NBA that's it. No cutscenes for sponsorship deals, events or anything like that. All you get is text on the screen. If you get your draft stock up, you can get the second overall pick, but your friend/competition gets first and you both end up on the same team. Playing the same position. Then comes a point with more text on the screen saying the franchise will be built round you and he's gone. Traded to another team and that's it. If you don't want to pay money for more VC and I don't see why we should when paying £85 for the Mamba Forever edition then be prepared for a long wait to get your player to a level that makes it worth playing with. Even then with your stats up it's a joke. As far as MyTeam is concerned I got the free packs from Mamba and got 1 player that was over 85. Not really anything else worth having. This mode is all about 2K trying to get more money from you for VC as stuff like domination is set to the highest difficulty to get the rewards. Don't get me wrong I like a challenge but with a team at 79 overall you have no chance as the CPU greens from all over, you miss more than about 3 shots and it's game over. Not even going into the delay in the park, I have at least a 2 second delay which when timing is everything destroys your chances. I have never had a game that gives so many blue screen errors to say there is a problem. At least 4 or 5 everyday. I hate giving bad reviews on things I previously really enjoyed, but as I said before this is 2K20 copy and pasted to an apparent new game. No effort or care gone into it at all. Final thought is, if you have 2K20 don't bother with this. Unless you have 10 hours a day to grind, still no promise that will work. Or if you want to spend stupid amounts of money to try and compete on a broken game. I'm done with 2K, I will never spend money on these games again after this disgrace. It's so bad that I have no intention on using my code for my free copy on PS5.
