Seriously! What is happening to British TV? Series 1 was excellent. Series 2 ok. But Series 3 and 4? For heaven's sake MUST every British crime show be filled with gratuitous DEI sub plots. No problem with diversity among the cast ( Unforgotten is brilliant at it as an example) but inventing gratuitous and patronising politically sensitive issues as means of "showing people the way) is bloody dishonest. The final straw for me was 2 pubescent schoolboys "pashing" in the hallway, something that wouldn't be tolerated in any school regardless of sexual orientation. THEN, Mum catches boys in bedroom at a point of potential sexual contact and basically gives them a "nudge nudge wink wink". Ridiculous!!! Meantime there's a crime story to be told.

About as erotic as a public toilet. Sadly and ashamed to say, watched till the end. But nothing. Such a good cast but absolutely awful in every other way.

The most intriguing thing about this is why the critics think it's any good. Jill Halfpenny is woeful, overacting through this unconvincing role. Shame as the story is interesting. Just terribly written. Note to the critics: Just because there's a strong female role and it's written by a woman doesn't automatically make it any good.
