Animation was great. Voice direction was iffy for some of the characters. Initially I came with the expectation that this would be an accurate depiction of the comics. And I was actually happy it wasn't. And was even happy with how self aware the show was. But to me, this adaption just didn't feel like Scott Pilgrim, and there lies the biggest issue. The comic and movie was filled to the brim with videogame references! That was one of the things that made it charming. In Takes off, this nuance feels heavily forced and is lacking passion. I don't think I can name many references aside a very lame Mario Kart one. I guess this show wasn't for me. This show, while looking like a runner up for an amazing adaption of a beloved series, feels like an imposter. I guess the vision was lost. Who knows.

One of the best, if not the best Kirby game I've ever played. My favorite of all time was Kirby's Adventure but this game right here? It hits in all the right places. I've played many of the main line games and Forgotten Land is the best one that's been produced In a long long time.
