Grisham has a gift for developing a character. You get attached for the good guys, loathed the bad. With a few of the characters left over from "A time to kill" It's hard not to picture the actors that played them. Maybe that took some fun out of development of the characters in your mind. The ending was just ho hum. I would give the book leading up to the end a 5 but the ending had me wanting something more dramatic. Just feels like Grisham got tired and said let's wrap it up.
