Matt McClintock

I loved the original film and novel and never would think I'd say this but I prefer the TV series. The chemistry and cast is something you don't come across often, especially in the crime-genre. I say I prefer the series because it's less goofy, it's darker, and the tone and cast just make the show its own creation, albeit superior in execution. It's a delicate thing to create so many characters you root for and like, particularly when most are sociopaths and murderers, but this show pulls it off with nearly unprecedented execution. My biggest concern is the show not having a season past three. I wish HBO would pick up on a show like this so it could get the budget and longevity it deserves.

If you think about it, it follows the exact same plot as The Godfather but in reverse with law enforcement being the family.
