Wow. I'm astounded that professional reviewers give the film credence. Leave the liberties taken with the laws of physics to one side, save to say Star Wars has greater respect for them. No the real criminality here is that someone who has been inspired by Kubrik and Malik thought they could emulate them. This is soooooo bad it actually hurts. Think Tree of Life made by Kevin Costner or Apocalypse Now redone by Gus Van Zant. If there are three words that should stop you handing over your hard earned cash to watch this catastrophy it's these: Norwegian Space Monkeys. Yup. You read that right. This is the first time that I've seen a movie so complex that it's actually self defeating: it's so wrapped up in its own internal logic that they forgot to make a film! Apart from the incredibly poor sound quality, the script is terrible, the characters (wooden) have to continually explain what's going on. It lacks any soul whatsoever. Nolan has managed to pull off the greatest 'inversion' trick of them all: he's finally managed to disappear up his own black hole. from the
