Unlike other commenters, the early episodes had me questioning whether I wanted to continue (hence four star rating). However, I am glad I did. I thought the series really picked up steam as it progressed, and the metaphors are rich. The mythology and mysticism are a labyrinth for the viewer to resolve. I was absolutely floored by the episode, "Stormy Weather," in which the theme of the series was laid bare. Perhaps the viewers who are posting such vehement reactions against the series simply do not appreciate such original storytelling. However, I would recommend those seeking unfamiliar, unformulaic entertainment to take the ride.
