I really really really tried to get past the first episode with hopes that it got better, but it somehow just got worse. The nostalgia of the apartment was about the only thing that I liked about this show. I was very disappointed in the fact that Hilary Duff wasn’t the narrator of the story and that she agreed to act in this show with such a poorly written script. Majority of the cast are just awful at delivering the “jokes” and I say that in quotations because it’s just not funny. I’m 24, the jokes are aimed at my age group and yet I cringed at every single joke. They really tried to keep some of the tropes of the original show. Having Sophie be the Ted where she’s a hopeless romantic to a fault. Having the British guy try and replace Barney in some weird way. It’s disappointing. I agree with one of the reviews I saw that said this is a stain on HIMYM. No justice is given to the original show. I didn’t like the ending of HIMYM but the entire series brings me nothing but happiness. This show just made me want to turn the tv off.
