I really enjoyed this book, a great quick holiday read. I immediately felt the same gothic, strangled love elements of Rebecca by D de Maurier. I have read a review that the prose at the beginning over egged the pudding. However, I found it easy to read and immersed myself in the beauty of it. It was just the ticket to balance weeks of cold damp weather in a winter in N Wales. The only flaw for me, was that I guessed the plot early on. I found myself desperate to try and not arrive at the obvious conclusion. A great charity shop find!
