As a Marvel fan, I was disappointed with this outing. Jonathan Majors was great as Kang. But all the other characters are disappearing. Janetโs unwillingness to share her quantum realm experience with her family is totally unrealistic and foolish. Hank was not consistent with his character in the first two movies. Cassie is just downright annoying. There wasnโt enough interaction with Hope and Scott. And the other supporting characters just werenโt interesting. I missed Luiz and company!
The plot was uneven to me. It had way too much of a Star Wars vibe to it in some spots and is just downright silly in other spots.
I realize that I am not the target demographic Disney/Marvel is aiming for, but I still believe there is an audience that yearns for a more grounded approach to our beloved Marvel Comics characters. Give me Captain America Winter Soldier or Civil War all day.
After seeing Wakanda Forever, I can even appreciate an emotionally charged movie.
This movie just doesnโt measure up for me. But, since Endgame, the really good MCU entries have been very few and far between. I am hoping to witness the MCU comeback soon! Unfortunately, this isnโt it.
