What a delightful and inspiring movie this is!! I had been following interviews and trailer on social media and finally watched it today. Based on a true story of a guy from a backward area and poor family, this guy achieves the unachievable - becoming the highest ranking officer of Indian police services. He struggles against all odds to achieve it. The acting, setting, storytelling and direction are just superb. You cry with pain in all of his struggles and in joy in his success. Moving story and Vidhu Vinod Chopra did complete justice to it. Kudos to the entire team!

The movie premise is good but I felt the writing and dialogues were just lazy. The romantic set up and personal life of the coach and the players was so lukewarm. Dialogues felt like they were not in a mood to put in the work at all. The other disappointment was that inspite of trying to show Seattle, they never even once showed Olympics or Cascades/Mount Rainier- if you have been to Seattle even once you would know that you cannot escape mountains in Seattle from any view especially when you are on the water. The story in itself is great of underdog winning which is heart warming and being a true story was fun to watch. I was though disappointed with George Clooney’s direction. I expected more.
