Umro Ayyar is undoubtedly a great step in the sci-fi genre. However, there are areas, if improved, would have taken a giant leap. While the movie effectively utilizes mesmerizing visual effects, it falls short in character development. The villains lack the same depth and grace as the heroes. Perhaps drew inspiration from old Sultan Rahi films. The league of Umro Ayyar, despite featuring a few famous actors in lead roles, didn’t leave a strong impression. A more rigorous casting process could elevate the film. Some scenes suffer from a loss of narrative grip. For instance, the interaction between Umro Ayyar and Hamza Ali Abbasi, as well as the final fight, could benefit from tighter storytelling.
