After watching this once, I have my favorite movie ever. Which I have never said about any movie before.
I see that the ratings are mostly either 5 stars or 1 star, and I honestly think that says everything you need to know. The movie was SO good and went so in depth into such a beautiful story line, that it was too much for some people to appreciate/like/understand. This movie is definitely not for people who just want a cool action space adventure movie. There is so much more here than that, and if someone goes into this movie without an open mind (especially an open mind about his/her own life, because this movie will make you think about your own life and meaning) then I can definitely see why some would rate it 1 star. A lot of people donโt like seeing the truth of things put in front of them because they donโt want to accept accountability in their own life, and accountability is a big theme in this movie (in my opinion).
This movie was so much more than a film. As I was watching, there were so many things I was realizing about life, myself, my relationships, my childhood, everything. I donโt even know if I can truly count the different โtypesโ of thoughts or emotions I was having while watching this movie. I believe this movie shows some of lifeโs truths that we so easily can forget in our day to day lives. And with every new โtruthโ that Hanus shows Jakub, it always goes back to say โbut itโs okay that you donโt always think this way. Who can?? Life is as it should be and all feelings are reasonable to have at times, as long as you donโt forget the big pictureโ.
I definitely didnโt word it as well as Hanus, but he is such a wise spider and I have never liked a character more. I really like how even him, someone who has been alive since the Beginning, having all the knowledge and wisdom of the world it seems, still found comfort in the hazelnut spread.
