Great actors, and I love Liam Cunningham because of Dog Soldiers and Game of Thrones. I have to say I was a little disappointed in this Dracula portrayal. I was trying not to expect Gary Oldman and I liked this Dracula version however you guys did way too much CGI to the point it looked almost like some cheesy anime character. Very little realism and detail. He was actually scarier when you only saw a glimpses of him throughout the film. I miss the way movies used to be made. Maybe Francis Ford Coppolas Bram Stokers Dracula ruined it for any future productions on Dracula because that was more scarier and dreamier yet still allowing you to fear Dracula. I miss the way we did costume and makeup. Even though it was probably more work, it was more memorable. Spoiler alert โผ๏ธ Can we just have a beloved pet make it in the end, I knew you were going to kill Huck. You all do this. It is so predictable and I had to close my eyes because I knew you were going to do it and be horrible with it. I like the story line, the acting, the characters etc. But it was missing something. There wasnโt enough fear. I feel like Dracula seemed weak (not literally because he was thirsty and weak) but it just didnโt scare me enough as I would have liked. There was a part that scared me when he repeated in a mocking way when Olgaren was pleading with him not to essentially kill him. I just think the actors didnโt have much to work with and they did their best with what they had. Not a bad movie though! Just wish it had what it was missing!
