I wasn't a big fan of Molly until she and Rick got together! I was never really a fan of Reuben! Instead of him copying William and Mary's life as almost an one up kind of deal, practically thumbing his nose at them, he should have figured out how to repair the damage that he did on William and Mary's wedding day and then figured out his own life even if it ended up almost the same as William and Mary's! I feel a little bit bad for his wife Maria/Marie and the son Jerome that they have together because they're more of a pawn in Reuben's scheme of life of showing William and Mary up then anything else! Arnold could have gone about his relationship with Ms. Ball better especially concerning Jane! He went about it in a very unfeeling kind of way towards her and Ms. Ball didn't help matters from getting any better! Jane should have shown a little bit more dignity though! All of the kids except for Julie/Julia and Thomas got on my nerves from time to time! Sometimes they were dumber and more stupid than necessary! I really liked Doris, but I felt that she should have gotten together with Billy a whole lot earlier than practically not at all until the end of the very last episode and that was hardly anything since we never see Billy ask Doris out and find out her answer! Even if she was pregnant with another man's child, I could see Billy being with Doris including marriage and having their own children! On top of that he probably would have adopted Doris' first child! After all, he's been William's friend for years which says a whole lot of good about him from that alone! I really liked Callum and I felt bad for Kate, but she broke up with him and even if he did the breaking up or it was mutual, they're both young and only time tells! I also really liked Rick! William made mistakes even before meeting Mary, but he was almost always trying! Documented legal guardian/parenting rights are not, William and Mary should not only been engaged a second time, but finally married when the show ended even if it was done by a Justice of the Peace with just the family and maybe really close friends. If they never had anymore children together, then Doris' child should have ended up being a girl!
