Sabeena Farooq and Mohamed Estshamudhin absolutely made this drama come alive together with the other actors. I’ve only seen first six episodes but it’s just a mind blowing acting and for a cha be the directors did a great job. The story has no nonsense showing off English speaking by actors as if they are American. It’s Pushto and and Urdhu drama and that’s what we want to see not actors who speak Urdhish. The story is of a well respected man rescuing an Afghanistan guy who has a sister living under death threats from people who want to forcefully marry her and her younger brother is disabled from a horse riding accident . The old man reluctantly does Nikah with the young girl who begs her to do it in order to save the legs of he brother and the story just unfolds from there. Beautifully written, acted and directed. One of the best dramas to come out of Pakistani.

Nadia and Sameena Pirzada are probably one of the best actors on the Pakistani circuit . Nadia as her daughter Shandana acted so capitivatingly and professionally that it the first time we saw her and we are very impressed. You can tell she is well educated too. The cast is just full of great actors it’s an amazing simple drama. .Actors are allowed to act naturally without stupid wigs and silly moustaches. It was so good to see Qavi Khan being directed to act naturally himself instead of all that yelling and screaming they get him to do these days . No background loud music that they play these days . They were all left to act with natural expressions and that’s good direction of the story as it unfolded. Why can’t they make dramas like anymore. These days they are all trying to pretend they are Americans which does not portray the majority of Pakistani families . Very touching, emotional and sad story which kept me glued to the screen . Women in our cultured share an unfair burden of hell in these traditions in which religion is being ignored in preference for male bigotry. Typical scenes of women and men praying with beads in their ha de whilst talking nasty and evil things about their daughter in law and her parents .

It was meant to show a greedy evil sister but it also inadvertently demonstrates the problem with a culture where majority of women are subservient to men and have to tow the line in fear of talak.The story was good in parts but the end was dramatically rushed . Casting was not very good as you can’t really put actors like Saba Qamar to act like a college girl when she looks like a mum of three .Similarly the guy who played Faisal is just too old for that part. The story itself losses it’s way several times with far fetched plots of a woman greedy for money getting away with plots all her life and getting married several times for wealth . Bad enough for a someone to remarry once in this culture let alone several times . The actors acted well but story was a bit too far fetched . A lot of trying to be American phrases going on like “ whatever” which made the actors look very cheap instead of sticking to urdhu and their culture . They look very cheap trying to behave like they were born in the USA copying them all the time . Directors need to cut this out .

One problem . Don’t pretend to shoot scenes that you are in London when you are in Turkey . A small town in Turkey in no way looks like any town in the UK .It’s does not work at all A sensation of a drama written by Umera Ahmad and directed by Babar Javed Brilliant actors , very good story, the boy playing Farman is an excellent actor , fantastic direction of this drama, actors did an excellent job. The lessons and messages given out are first class . One of the top ten dramas I ve seen. I’m glued to it . Amazing direction brilliantly presented by terrific acting Thank you everyone who meticulously put together this fantastic drama full of small words with big messages . Savera Nadeem is just begin getting describing in this drama . She absolutely rocked it .

Pakistani directors need to go back and watch how directors worked on this drama . Sheer brilliant direction , simple story , few locations , excellent actors except the guy who played the teenage son going to Turkey. The rest of the actors are now legends in 2022 . The story is simple and gets real. A girl abandoned with her mother at age one by her father through an arranged marriage he did not want leaves them until her mother dies . Extremely serious scenes and dialogues that will make you weep. Emmanuel looking for economics books picks up a book from the “ forensic medicine “ section 🤣🤷🏽‍♂️.

Where did the guy acting as Farhads friend who advised him not to marry Annie come from ? He has such a bad annoying voice for an actor and is hopeless at acting . The drama itself is a cute little drama and very different to other dramas . It tackles the issue of conservative vs liberal very well . It demonstrates that you can be a good Muslim and not force your ideas on others likewise . It encourages the coexistence of good Muslims and good liberals . Maya Ali beings out the best and perfectly illustrated how a good Muslim behaves in her acting as Annie . First time I’ve seen Farhad Miriam and and he just played that role of a good Muslim perfectly . The girl who played Faryal was annoying at first with her accent but then you realized that this was a very good person who spoke her mind and was oblivious to Pakistani culture , very misunderstood and felt totally isolated and out of place because of the way the people around her reacted . The senior actors who acted as parents are just seasoned professionals who I’ve seen in many dramas and they just gave yet another brilliant performance and that’s what makes a drama come to live . Maya Ali is so natural in her acting that I’ve yet to see her struggle in any role . Well done everyone and thank you .
