I love historical shows. However, I want them to be historically accurate. Not just in costuming, but in language, social views, politics for the period in which it takes place. This show did that in some regards and didn't in others. A British officer who clearly did not come from the upper class would be unusual in this period if not downright impossible.
One thing that always made me roll my eyes was the instantaneous traveling. I mean, they'd be up in the wilds around the trading post and then be in Montreal later that same day. On foot! I mean they would just head out. No, gathering of supplies or horses for a journey that would've taken at least two weeks to make. Without stopping to rest mind you.
Nothings perfect and this show did introduce me to a portion of history that I knew next to nothing about. For that, I did enjoy it.
I think it ended the only way a revenge story can: with all parties involved ultimately losing in some way.
The fact that HBC is still around today told me that Jason Momoa and crew would ultimately fail at their goal of overthrowing and destroying the HBC.
