I played it on my Xbox as I really couldn't be bothered to boot this game up on my PC. For context I have nearly 500 hours on my PC and another 500 on Xbox. I have loved Bethesda games such as Oblivion, Skyrim and Fallout 3 since I was a kid now, and have had the privilege to play the Shivering Isles, Dragonborn, Bloodmoon, Far Harbor and The Pitt, some of which I'd say are the among the best DLCs of all time.
Shattered Space took me maybe eight hours. For context, Far Harbor was an easy ten to fifteen, same with Dragonborn (and that's every time). Even including the side-quests I'd anticipate a maximum playtime of twenty hours. The story is bland, derivative of past stories and far better writing. The theme is under identity crisis, and the characters have the urgency of a funeral. It's bullet sponge-y and boring, building a shooting gallery of gameplay. The loop becomes shoot, reload, shoot, heal. Over and over, location after location.
Nukaworld added settlement items, Far Harbor a fully affinity based companion and settlement locations. Dragonborn had sprawling sidequests and a plethora of unique locations. Tribunal had a story about "Houses" that was gripping and thoroughly well written. Jesus even Hearthfire had enough to offer to justify it's existence. All of these, featured NEW items, clothing, armor, weapons, mechanics, locations and/or quests.
Shattered Space has two. Locations and quests. All armor/weapons are re-skins, the habs are re-skins, there are no new outpost items, no decorations, no real companions, maybe ten new items. It's a lazy, unfinished piece of content being repackaged as a DLC. This is really bad. I love The Elder Scrolls, and I want someone else in charge of it.
Also this thing ran so poorly. So so poorly.
