I have a 6 year old son with Cystic Fibrosis. This movie was for the most part an accurate depiction of daily life with this horrific disease. At 6 years old he has endured a lot and is on his way to needing a double lung transplant to continue the Fight. There is a lot of ignorance in this world and this movie was created for entertainment but it also brings awareness to what is deemed an “orphan disease” by the government because not enough people are affected by it to qualify for government funded research. That’s right...google it. So if every person that was truly touched by this movie could please go online to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundations website and make a donation it will give everyone living with CF a fighting chance to live a long and somewhat healthy life that many of us take for granted.
