I am a serious jazz fan. I liked this movie because the subject matter is rarely covered in films. I feel about the jazz pianist Bill Evans in a similar way to how the protagonist in this film felt about his father's hero.

This film has probably the worst soundtrack of all time. It intrudes on the bad dialogue - I don't know which is the worst. Bad production values all the way around - hair, costumes, and boring sets. Someone should have at least brought a comb from home to the set.

I love Korean films and TV shows. I find actors interesting and very attractive. Many Korean male actors are handsome and accomplished actors. Production values are good with cinematography being excellent. Something in the Rain was very romantic without being sugary, but really more interesting than American romantic productions with a mixture of humor and intense drama.

"Gun City" is a great film by any standards set for quality cinema. Directed by Dani de la Torre it is a historical film of violence in 1921 Barcelona with brutality, treachery and more finely presented by a talented director. Despite the grimness and tragedy of the story, the film is beautiful with a magnificent score that adds to its total brilliance. I saw it on Netflix with English subtitles but that did not distract from its impact. Clearly, this is an award-worthy film on many counts - directing, music, cinematography, acting, and script. This would easily compete with any USA film in the same genre.
