I’m a Disney fan since way back, pre Lion King, pre Beauty & the Beast. Pre Mufasa, Gaston. I’m a Star Wars fanatic too! Always impressed with Angelica Jolie as filmmaker, actor & as a philanthropist. She’s excellent in all fields. Loved both Maleficent movies. No one could inhabit her like Ms Jolie! There are more poignant scenes in M1 than M2 but the battle scenes, which are well executed are worth the trip to the moviehouse. The two protagonists AJ & Ms Pfeiffer are excellent do does Ms Fanning as Princess Aurora. Almost 2 hours long, yeah some scenes could have been shortened but overall I’m satisfied with the movie. AJ is the linchpin of it all, she has depth, she’s versatile & has a commanding presence. She deserves top billing. As we speak the movie may break even given its patronage/strength overseas & close to a six digit BO take in America. It still has legs!
