The idea of Pig is superb. A story about a truffle hunter whose prized pig is kidnapped starring Nic Cage set in Portland. I'm all in! The reality is the film is tedious, boring, and falls flat. There is no discernable direction. It's composed of a set disparate events with no connection to each other. I was sort of dumbfounded how such a great idea could be executed so poorly. They had budget, they had good actors, so why does it reek like an overwrought student film? Because the director failed. Pig is simply a bad film and anyone telling you otherwise is lying.
