This is a very good movie. It portrays the lives of a family and surrounding community in a realistic way. People who live in the rural areas and Ozarks live by an unspoken code and there is a certain respect/ loyalty you just don't cross even if your family. Watching Ree take care of her family and reaching out for help among her own people to find her missing dad is heartbreaking but she's determined to find him so her family doesn't lose their home and land , and all her efforts come with serious consequences which do not deter her. This film doesn't have all the background noise and special effects most films do these days, rather it was filmed with a more realistic tone. ๐
