To everyone who loves this character. Stick to the comics. Stick to the cartoons. Stick to the games. This movie is terrible. I can't believe they burnt money on this. The characters make illogical decisions that are not properly explained. The writers think that rambling is comedy and they don't understand the value or utility of wit. Points to the CGI it was quite a joyful experience seeing a loved character brought to life in such an immersive way The family's "wholesomeness" is but a cheap replacement for actual characters by making the entire point of their existence to drive the plot forward. And the plot is a disaster in the first hour we got an extremely annoying MC and a slightly less annoying family. The character attached to the scarab was lost and we were deprived of a good symbiotic relationship between the MC and the piece of alien technology. The villains are shallow and unlikable. Their attempts to make the audience sympathetic. Was just a constant loop of controversial topics that just sucked out the Scripps of value that their backstories had. It was entirely uninteresting and I stopped paying attention after the first hour of nothing but constant trashy dialogue. Average acting and one the worst plot I have ever seen. Even the fight scenes were painful to watch. The CGI can't hide the pack of effort that shows in the other aspects of the movie production. This was a terrible movie and a waste of two hours.
