Megan Ricardo

This is my all time favourite graphic novel series so I had been super excited for this to come out since it was first announced. Unfortunately I found it really disappointing. The pacing was off from the first episode and so was the script. They also deviated quite a bit from the original story, which I understand happens in adaptations, but for me, the new directions they went with the story were questionable at best. They took a lot of the action out which is something I don't understand. Maybe this was a budget issue? Idk. Regardless, I think them skiping most of the fighting/ shooting etc that happens throughout the comics is the reason the pacing was so off. I think maybe if the original author Brian K Vaughan had more involvement in the script writing the show would have been much more successful. Came into the first episode excited and with each subsequent episode felt more and more deflated. Such a shame since the graphic novels are fantastic.
