This movie is one I have been waiting for for the longest time. Ballad of songbird and snakes capsulates the ideas of human depravity and that if this is all there is then there is no hope for our human depravity. From the beginning you see Coriolanus go from your favorite character with this lack of awareness of his depravity and yet through this movie we see the core of his humanity through the amount of murders and his conniving way to achieve evil for his own good. This movie gives a great understanding of the selfishness that leads to Coriolanus becoming president snow. I left this movie thinking that if this is all there was to life, then there'd be no hope. If all I knew was my human nature and depravity and this movie would dictate how it ended, there'd be no hope. My faith in Chris allowed me to further enjoy this movie for the example of depravity it sets and yet my own reality that provided hope.
