Not only is LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga the newest LEGO game to date, it’s also one of the worst. It was made during COVID time, and you can clearly tell… I play on the Xbox Series X… and the game crashes so many times. There’s no excuse for this. It’s 2022… and there are still so many bugs. The Skywalker Saga is also clearly not designed for 2 players (something that defines almost all LEGO games) and shows incompetence at its finest. Here’s an example of this garbage. “Fulfill Your Destiny” is a level in the game where Luke fights Vader, and it’s even designed for 2 players… except it isn’t. One player can be Luke and one can be Vader. But Vader’s health bar is the only one that matters. You can literally kill Luke so many times… but can only progress by killing Vader. Who thinks up this stuff? How hard is it to add a second health bar? As far as gameplay and level design go, they’re fine—even though the game censors certain parts of the game for literally no reason (it’s an E 10+ game, I think 10 year olds will survive if they see some “violence”). Overall, the Skywalker Saga doesn’t have any magic or fun for kids, teens, and adults alike to enjoy, and instead is a tedious mess that doesn’t work half of the time.
