Typical. Take an extremely critical and strategic Islamic event and create the illusion that the Muslims were barbaric. Firstly, the series fails at depicting the conquest in it's actual manner. Sheikh Shamsuddin Mohamed was Sultan Mehmed II's teacher and advisor (not Sultan murad's vizier). Nowhere in the series is he mentioned. It was he who encouraged Sultan Mehmed II to deal the final blow (not the step-mother Queen Mara) and the blood moon omen is completely inaccurate. The aim of this series is to promote the Ottoman story through negating its strong Islamic beliefs and rules. There are Islamic references but these are kept to a minimal. Also, the acting is average at best, and there are scenes that aim to promote a more "liberal" Islam that goes completely against Islamic law and the Ottomam Empire during this particular era in its history.
